The inspiration behind this wearable design is the Franz Kafka novel, The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Inspired by bulbous but light, hollow forms that give the allusion of heaviness and weight. It is also inspired by movement through dance and the overlapping materials to create the allusion of different thicknesses of material. A person can enter the U shaped hoop in the middle and form it to their body accordingly. The final would be made out of flexible plastic tubing and black chunky string.
