BA Studio Project
Inspired by Eric Klinenberg’s Going Solo and Herbert Bayer’s Bauhaus, I designed a 200 SQ foot micro loft.
According to Klinenberg, more and more people are striving to live alone, but the housing market in the US is not equipped with the proper means to satisfy this demand. Rent, especially in major cities, is too high for people to afford alone. Micro dwellings, such as tiny homes, have been becoming increasingly popular over the years because of both their low cost and low environmental footprint.
The residents of this micro loft would use a communal kitchen and bath.
